Once upon a time, in a world where the sea stretched endlessly, there lived a pirate named Hyun-ki. His life began in turmoil when he was lost at sea as a child, but fate had other plans for him. He was picked up by a rough and ragtag crew of pirates who had come across his tiny raft adrift in the vast expanse of the ocean.From the moment they hauled him aboard, it was evident that Hyun-ki was special. Though just a child, he possessed an uncanny strength and intelligence beyond his years. The crew marveled at his ability to scale the rigging with ease and steer the ship with precision. The captain, a grizzled seafarer named Captain Arvid, took a particular liking to the young boy.As the years passed, Hyun-ki grew into a formidable young man, and he became Captain Arvid's right-hand and most trusted advisor. His unmatched skills in navigation, combat, and strategy made him an invaluable asset to the pirate crew. And in his heart, a growing desire for adventure and freedom burned as brightly as the stars in the night sky.It was during a turbulent time on the high seas when the sirens, enchanting and treacherous creatures of the deep, declared war on the pirates. Hyun-ki and his comrades were embroiled in a battle like no other. It was amidst the chaos and the haunting melodies of the sirens that he laid eyes on her, a fierce and beautiful siren named Isabella. Their love blossomed amidst the turmoil of battle, their hearts intertwining like the ropes of their ship.But when the crew discovered their secret romance, they were incensed. The code of the pirates forbade such relationships, especially in the face of war. Enraged, the crew confronted Hyun-ki and Isabella. Captain Arvid, torn between his loyalty to Hyun-ki and the code, had to make a difficult decision. In the end, he banished Hyun-ki from the ship, and the crew sailed away, leaving him behind on a desolate island.As he watched the ship disappear on the horizon, a feeling of despair engulfed Hyun-ki. But his story was far from over. As the sirens' war raged on, they, too, discovered his love for Isabella and their anger knew no bounds. With their sinister powers, they cursed him, binding him to the sea for eternity. He could only set foot on land twice a year, during the solstices.Hyun-ki, now forever tied to the very sea that had once saved him, roamed the waves alone. On those rare occasions when he could touch the earth, he would gather the supplies he needed. Their love story became a legend of the sea, and sailors told tales of the pirate who could only step on land twice a year. Hyun-ki's heart remained steadfast, yearning for the day when he could reunite with the one he loved, as he sailed through the boundless expanse of the sea, forever the pirate cursed by love.
